Which format for what

STL for a slicer: triangles only, which is all a printer needs. OBJ for Blender or another artist: plain text, shared vertices, can reference materials. PLY for scanners and photogrammetry. GLB for the web, AR and game engines: one file that can carry geometry, materials and textures together.

If the source file is broken, with holes, flipped faces or stray fragments, convert it after repairing it, since a converter carries the same problems across.

Questions

Which formats can it convert?
STL, OBJ, PLY and GLB, in any direction, and embedded glTF files in to any of those. Drop a file in and pick the target. The source format is worked out from the file itself, so a GLB saved as .stl still works.
Why is my converted model microscopic?
Because glTF and GLB are written in metres by convention, while slicers read STL as millimetres. A 0.9 m model becomes 0.9 mm. The scale selector fixes it, and preselects ×1000 when the model looks metre-scale.
What happens to textures?
They are dropped. STL, OBJ and PLY cannot carry embedded textures, and the geometry is what every downstream tool needs. Nothing about the shape changes.
Do I need an account or to sign up?
No. There is no sign-up, no login and no email, and no limit: the tool runs in your browser, so there is nothing to meter. Use it as often as you like, on as many files as you like.
