Privacy

The short version

Most of the tools run in your browser, and the files you open with them never reach us. The tools that need a GPU or a bigger computer send your file to a server for that one run and get the result back; we keep nothing from it. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies.

What runs in your browser

The viewer, the print cost calculator, the converter, Repair (with Make solid at Standard or Fine detail), Reduce, Compress and the quick maps in Image to normal map all work on your device. The files you open with them are never sent to a server, and we never receive a copy.

What goes to a server, and where

These tools send what you give them to a server for the run, and the result comes straight back to your browser:

• Image to 3D: your photo.
• Text to 3D: your description.
• Texture generator: your description, and a photo if you add one.
• Image to normal map, when you choose Make AI maps: your picture.
• Retexture: your model, and your reference picture or description.
• Remesh: your model.
• Repair, with Solid detail set to Best, only when the parts cannot be joined in your browser: your model.

The servers are ours, run on Hugging Face (Hugging Face, Inc., United States). The files are processed for the run and not kept by us. Hugging Face keeps request logs under its own privacy policy, and uses your IP address to share out its free GPU time. When that free time runs short, a run may go through our own server instead, which passes it on and keeps only a count of runs per visitor for the day.

What stays in your browser

Your recent results (what you downloaded, continued with or generated) are kept in your browser’s own storage for seven days, so a reload does not lose them. Your tool settings are kept there too, and a file you send from one tool to the next waits there until the next page opens it. None of it is sent to us. Clear it with the Clear link under the recent results, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Cookies

One functional cookie, gpu_sid, set only when a run goes through our own server: a random id that lets us share out free GPU time fairly and stop abuse, kept for up to 400 days. It is not used to track you across sites, and there are no advertising or analytics cookies.

Server logs

Like any website, our host keeps standard request logs (IP address, page, time, browser) for security and to fix faults, for a limited time.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or a place with similar law, you may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, and take a copy. Write to [email protected]. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

We process data to provide the tools you use (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for security and fair use of free GPU time, in our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)). The providers named above are in the United States; transfers to them rely on the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Children

3D Valley is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

When we add accounts or paid plans, this page will say what they store before they launch. The date at the top shows the last change.
